Clowns Without Border Bahama Relief Tour, Tuesday 12/10
Tuesday, Leora, Clay, and I worked on our show in the morning. We put pieces of our different acts into one cohesive structure. We still have some work to do to finish the final show order, that said we made significant progress working on the show. In the afternoon, we went back to the shelter for a workshop with the kids. We made juggling balls for the kids. We used the ball making method we practiced a day earlier. The kids were enthusiastic about the workshop, sometimes overly excited. There were lots of smiles when they finished making their balls.
There was a group of six or seven young teenage boys in the workshop. They left a unique impression on me. They were mature and calm beyond their years. As I said, they were also some very enthusiastic young kids at the workshop. These young boys patiently waited for us as we managed the younger kids.
Later in the afternoon, Leora started some cool activities with the children while Clay and I worked on the juggling balls. The sun was setting as Leora put the kids in a circle and led some games and dancing. Tomorrow we will go back for an adult workshop in the morning and another workshop in the afternoon with the kids. The show will be on Thursday.
The folks from Americares invited us over for dinner.
